How to play Minecraft free on the PC

When I taught Minecraft to my nephews they wanted to download the game immediately. But there was a problem: I was playing with my account. I could not leave it. To play for free, I went through several methods. Minecraft for PC is not free. For my nephews to play, the quickest solution would have been for their parents to buy them a copy, but you know how parents are: first you have to convince them. With all this in mind, I thoroughly informed myself and sent an email to the family so they could get down to work. I will share with you the three options I proposed. They may also serve you.

1. Play with the official demo of Minecraft (without limits)For a while, Minecraft has a demo that can be downloaded for free after creating an account on the official page. The demo allows you to play for almost two hours in a single world and in survival mode. At two hours, the demo is blocked. You need the proper minecraft download free.

   If your account is not paid, you can only run the demo

   A simple trick to play more time: open the Explorer, type% AppData% followed by Enter, enter the saves / Demo_World folder of Minecraft and delete the level.dat and level.dat_old files. Then, start the demo again. Delete these two files and you can play the demo again.

2. Play Minecraft Classic in the browserAt first, Minecraft was played in the browser. The first versions lacked many of the objects and creatures of the current game, but the basic elements were already there.
   Minecraft Classic requires Java enabled in your browser to work. The Classic version does not allow you to save the game and only has a creative mode, but it has all the essentials of the old Minecraft.
3. Play with older versions of Minecraft (betas included)The new launcher allows you to run old versions of Minecraft even if you have not paid for the game. To do this, you only have to create a new profile and allow the use of “Alpha” and “Beta” versions of Minecraft (the old ones).

   In Use version choose any of the old versions (I recommend the old_beta b1.6.4), save the profile and then click Play Demo. You will see that the game is not a demo, but a complete old version.

   These solutions helped me save time and familiarize my nephews with the essential elements of Minecraft. But in the end I managed to convince their parents to buy the game, and it has been a wise decision: now they can tame horses and kill dragons in the latest version of the game.
